sleep phoning?

i have always had a problem with talking in my sleep. i think it was hard for jared when we were first married. he would say i would wake him up in the middle of the night mumbling things and telling him unbelievable stories. it has gotten better since we have had children (i don't think i am able to sleep as deeply anymore). it has also been passed down to some of our children.

well jared was at work late the other night. i got kasen up to go to the bathroom before i went to bed myself. he was so tired. he is really hard to get up at night. he is definitely a really deep sleeper. i walked him to the toilet and told him to go while i waited in the hall. well he turned around and followed me out into the hall. i asked him what he was doing. he ignored me and went to the refrigerator and opened it. i asked him what he was looking for. he told me something. i think he was still mostly asleep. i tried without fail to get him to go to the bathroom again. after three attempts, i gave up and told him to go to bed.

well later that night apparently i was dreaming quite deeply. i remember the kids had broken something and jared felt he needed to stay at work to help pay for the broken item. i decided i wanted jared home instead of having him work the overtime, so i called his cell phone to tell him this. well i guess i really called his phone. he was at work and still had an hour or so to go and got a crazy phone call from me. he said i was mumbling something and he couldn't understand a single word out of my mouth. he asked me three times what i was saying and that i needed to speak up. after the third time it must have woken me up enough because i then realized i was up and on the phone. i told jared never mind, i love him, and hung up. he was quite confused with the whole situation. he woke me up when he got home to make sure everything was okay. (i don't really call him at work unless i really need him.)

the whole thing was really strange but kind of funny. it has been a while since i have remembered having a sleep talking dream, let alone call someone during a dream. needless to say, it was quite an interesting night.
