everyone but the mom was sick at our house on easter sunday. we had anything from runny noses to pink eye. everyone ended up staying home from church. we had our own little sunday family night when i returned home with a great lesson on the last week of our savior's life.
easter morning egg retrieval
here is a lovely one that shows how everyone was feeling just before the egg hunts.
it was a successful hunt and the kids were plenty spoiled.
the best part was that jared had many coupons for $2 off when you buy two or more mars products that he got from work. we happened to find snickers, m&m's, and skittles eggs on sale for $1 a piece. we discovered that they totally worked with the coupons and stocked up on 30 or so eggs for free! the downside: we did have to pay the sales tax, so we ended up with 30 or so eggs for around $1.

Ugh, so sorry you were sick, but good job with the coupons, that is awesome!
I love when I only have to pay tax for things after coupons. It totally gives me a shopper's high. I'm glad you managed to have some fun in spite of all of the sickness.
