Not so deceptive afterall...

The Ballard children and their fun mother came over yesterday to play. We had lots of fun jumping on the tramp, playing with the four-wheelers, and making chocolate chip cookies. When Jared called home and asked what we were doing, I told him making cookies. He was so surprised because I NEVER bake cookies. He begged me to save some of the cookie dough for him and then proceeded to ask if what was in it. Touche'. I have been trying to cook from the Deceptively Delicious cookbook lately. A good friend of mine told my about this cookbook and I am hooked. If you are not familiar with the cookbook, all of the food is made with vegetable or fruit pureed and mixed in. It is simply amazing and I have been experimenting with my dear husband and children for the last week. Needless to say I was trying to mix some garbanzo beans into the cookie dough but it didn't really turn out because they were suppose to be chickpeas instead. We simply made "Mrs. Field's-super-fatty-full-of-butter-and-sugar-and-absolutely-nothing-good-for-you" instead. It sure was fun and the cookie dough was simply delicious. No wonder why I can't lose this crappy baby weight.

What fun friends! We had a good time. It is fun to have a friend that knows the crazy ins & outs of kids. I always enjoy our visits! Thanks for having us & thanks for the cookies.
