camping at 12 mile

we went camping with the 4 wheeling gang.  this is a picture of my side of the family.

the trailer in the back was our home sweet home.  this worked out well except it smelled like gasoline.

two peas in a pod.

we usually go out for a group ride.  this is before we left.  we decided to take lily with us but about halfway down the main road she was falling asleep and it was really hard to hold on to her.  jared decided to race back and leave her with my mom and told us he would catch up to us.  we kept pausing and seeing if he was almost there but he never quit caught up to us on the trail.  

we got to this lake and he wasn't there.  i was getting kind of nervous because i knew he would be flying around the mountain trying to find us and i was worried he had flipped somewhere and was dead.  right before we left he showed up and he told us that he thought we had gone the other way (good thing he knows this mountain so well).  then i found out that he had taken the extremely scary trail that my mom had rolled down a few years earlier.  i was so glad he made it okay.

(we had stopped for lunch and realized the 4 wheeling buggy had a popped tire)

we got on with our ride and we got to the top of the mountain and the trail that tom (our friend and 4 wheeling guide) wanted to take.  i wish i had gotten a picture of the sign that was at the top of this particular trail because it pretty much said DO NOT GO DOWN THIS TRAIL!!  YOU WILL BE TAKING YOU LIFE INTO YOUR OWN HANDS!!  needless to say it was a really hairy ride and there were several stops that we all had to get off and hike while the men rode the 4 wheelers right up the side of the mountain.  i was so glad when we finally made it back to camp about 4 hours later and relieved my mom of her babysitting duties.
