i can't believe how the time flies!! she is now three and is very sure about that. just the other day she looked at me and while pointing at me told me that she could do something because she was three and i was not. i think three might be my tough year with this one. she used to be fun to take places. now she will hide in the racks and ask for everything under the sun. i even had to haul her out of the d.i. screaming because her dad told her to stay off the bunkbeds and she couldn't be obedient. when he told her to get down she just looked at him and started to climb. heaven help me.
on sunday (the day before her birthday), we took cupcakes over to grandma's and grandpa's house to share with the cousins. she was very spoiled there. then we went over to mimi's and papa's and shared cupcakes over there. what a great day!!
when i asked her what kind of cupcakes she wanted she informed me that she wanted "pink." so we made strawberry cupcakes with cream cheese frosting, raspberry lemon cupcakes with lemon butter cream and lemon cupcakes with lemon butter cream cupcakes. we had cakes coming out of our ears. i think all together i made five dozen cupcakes!!
we sang happy birthday. she got some clothes and a tent from grandma and grandpa. from mimi and papa she got some books, clothes, a my little pony, skittles, and gum. for weeks i kept asking her what she wanted for her birthday and she just kept telling me skittles and gum. we redid her bedroom and she and addy got a set of bunkbeds for their birthdays. it just so happened that she got her bunkbed on addy's birthday in february. she loves her bunkbed and sleeps very well in it. if asked she will tell you all about it and that she sleeps on the bottom and addy sleeps on the top.
monday was her actual birthday. on monday mornings lily and i went to kasen's classroom to help out the teacher. we brought treats to share with his class. they even sang her happy birthday.
when we got home from school, lily, addy, jared, and i all went to mcdonald's for lunch then to the treehouse for some fun. we ran into her cousins for a minute then played, played, played for a couple of hours at the treehouse. they had a ball.
all in all, i think she had a really good day. she is so much fun to have around our home. she really brightens up our lives. she loves to sing and dance. lily doesn't really watch much tv but she LOVES the movie beezus and ramona. she calls it "Jesus and ramona" and can quote so many lines from the movie including "guts, guts, guts" and "butt out beezus." she is very well loved by her siblings who think she can do no wrong. she is very smart and dresses her self every day all by herself, even picking out what she will wear. she is very attached to her green blanket and cannot go to sleep without it using it as a pacifier. she is just an all around awesome kid to have around.

She might be a handful, but she sure is a cute handful. I can't get over how much she looks like Addy. They could be twins.
