halloween was so much fun. it is one of my favorite holidays. the kids had school off so went got all dressed up then went and took jared to lunch. he was quite embarrassed because i had dressed up and was wearing my witch hat and shoes. after lunch we went to the grocery store for their trick-or-treat. i swear each of my children brought home 5 pounds of candy each and we had not even started to actually trick-or-treat. we tried to make trick-or-treating bags (which mostly mom made) then when jared got home we went to grandma's house for chili and cornbread (yum). then on to trick-or-treating. we made quite a trip around our grandma's neighborhood and made quite a killing on the candy. kids were all tuckered out so we went to our other grandma's to see them and to eat half of the candy before mom and dad could take it all away. we had lots of fun, but now that it is over we can focus on braylie's birthday, braylie's baptism, thanksgiving, and christmas. wow i have alot on my plate for the next couple of weeks.
braylie was the devil. she sure was a cute devil. she is too precious to be a devil. i can't believe how much she is growing up.
kase was a mummy. it was funny because he kept saying he wanted to be a mommy. it took me a while to figure out that he meant mummy. my dad asked him what he wanted to be and he got also got the mommy comment. my dad asked him if his dad knew that he wanted to be a mommy. kase told him "yup." my mom was telling me this story and i told her he meant mummy. mom laughed and told me she would have to tell my dad because he was very worried about kase. his costume was fun to make and it sure turned out cute. the picture is not very good. sorry.
addy was adamant that she was going to be a witch this year. i was going to use the costume i made for braylie a few years ago. but i pretty much ended up remaking her entire costume. i forgot to get a good picture of her shoes when i took her picture so i made her pose with them on a couple of days later, hence the next picture.
this is me as a witch and my little kitty. i also made shoes for myself but i did not get pictures of them. so picture addy's shoes on my feet just slightly larger. i don't usually dress up but it was fun to dress up and not have to be a regular old mom for just one day.
this is my group of scary little trick-or-treaters. they all had classic halloween costumes this year. braylie says she wants to be the bride of frankenstein next year. i am hoping kasen will let me dress him up as a little frankenstein. i better be on the lookout for the perfect little white dress and little boy suit so i can get started now. i can't wait. oh i love halloween.

Oh! So cute. Yeah, Marri saw Mrs. Gubler, she got a little bag of candy, that's too bad Braylie missed her.
You're kids look(ed) darling!
I love the costumes! Addy's shoes were so cool. Halloween is my favorite, but it is certainly a high effort holiday. I've promised myself to simplify things next year. We'll see how that goes. :)
I know who I'm calling next year for Halloween. The shoes are sooo cute. You've got to tell me how you made them.
