family day

as i was going through some of our pictures, i realized there were a lot that i never blogged about.  this is a chunk of them.  we went to the oquirrh mountain temple open house on the very last day it was open to the public.  we spent about an hour and a half going through the temple.  it was so beautiful.  i loved all the windows inside and the magnificent double staircase.
the kids were amazed.  they have never been inside a temple before.  braylie was so excited.  she has been asking about the temple for a while now and is really looking forward to baptisms for the dead when she turns twelve.
this is the family picture that a temple volunteer took of us in front of the temple after we had been through it.  she did a really good job.  it is now one of my favorites.
after the temple open house, we went to chick-fil-a for lunch.  the kids were so excited they got to have kids meals and play on their indoor playground.  i have to say fast food restaurants with indoor playgrounds are the best.  jared and i were able to relax and catch our breath before we were off and running again.
well when you are married to a hunter, cabela's ends up being a family favorite also.  we spent the rest of the afternoon there and we really enjoyed it.  there is so much to do there even when you are not buying anything.
we spent a lot of time in the aquarium.  we were hoping to be there when they fed the fish but we missed it and would have to wait 4 hours til the next feeding.  maybe next time.
my camera broke so i was using braylie's for these pictures.  i could not figure out what the problem was and why i kept getting these black shadows in my pictures.  well braylie informed me that the cover was not opening fully.  but not before i took a handful of pictures.
notice how jared is not in many of the shots.  i think he was off shopping.  he was looking for arrows or something like that.
all in all it was a really great day.  it was a lot of fun to spend time together as a family, especially at the temple.  temples are so important to us.  they really are the link that will make us a family forever.
