freaky food night

i thought it would be fun to do something a little festive for halloween so we had a freaky food night for dinner last night.
we had jack-o-lantern quesadillas,

monkey brains
(sorry for the crappy picture, camera really doesn't work all that well),
and mummy dogs (the one is loosing his eye).  we also had blood and guts soup but i didn't get a picture.  everyone was starving so we had to serve and eat before there was an uprising.
we had the ballard children with us for a while last night.
they all really seemed to enjoy the food.  the boys ran off before i could get a picture of them.
these two were being completely silly, holding their pinkies up while they drank.  they were almost too giddy, they were driving me nuts.
this one ate up everything that came across her face.  sorry my house is such a mess.  that's what you get when you spend most of the day making costumes and the rest of the day making dinner.

Wow! I totally want to try those quesidallas!

And Braylie's and Kasen's costumes were awesome. I can't believe you got Braylie's hair to do that!

Those mummy wraps are a big success! My kids like them a lot. The kids costumes looked great! Good job!

you had fun idea. I googled Halloween food idea and there are a lot of really gross looking things. I'm more into cute. I wouldn't be able to eat it if it was gross looking. I liked yours!

No wonder Jake didn't want to be at my house and was so anxious to go there. What a cute idea. Looks like a great time.
