we spent memorial day with some friends at their little cabin by the weber river. it was so nice up there. we brought some hot dogs and hamburgers and tons of other snacks and ate while listening to the kids and the river. their cabin practically sits on the river and it was nice to sit and watch the kids play and visit with our friends. i forgot my camera but eric managed to take several photos. i hope he emails them to me soon so i can put them on this post. lily was so funny. we just let her play around us on the ground, but what a mess she managed to make. she found some mud and was covered in less than five minutes. then we made some smores and gave her one of those. she crawled around carrying that smore for half an hour eating it and dragging it through the mud, then eating it some more. she was quite a mess and i think she was really grossing eric and steph out. braylie and sierra ran around playing mom to the little ones and watching the teenagers play with the crawdads they caught in the reservoir. kasen and garrett had the greatest time playing hide and seek (very loudly) with jared and eric. addy loved mothering taylor around and keeping track of her and the adults managed to even get in a game of apples to apples. it was such a blast and we are go glad we were invited to go.
after we left the cabin around 7:30 we tried to drive up to our lot at sourdough. we almost made it all the way up there, but had to turn around because there was too much mud. some of us are so happy to say that we sold the lot at the end of this week. yeah!!! my understanding was that we bought for investment purposes only. but jared informed me that he was sad to see it go. i think he was looking forward to hunting on it this year. he did put in for a dedicated hunting tag for the northern area and i think it covered the sourdough area. he even spent almost 16 hours doing his community service for the tag last saturday, probably looking forward his hunt on sourdough the whole time. sorry honey. need the money for the house.
