one is fun

i can't believe it has been a year already.

we decided to go to the park for lily's birthday because it has been great weather and she loves the park. also i don't have to stress about having the house clean and then cleaning up again after everyone leaves. great idea!!
it was quite a day. we had soccer games in the morning that seem to take over your day. then home to try and make cupcakes (thanks bethany for making them), finish a skirt, and get everything together. it was a crazy day and i didn't get the cupcakes done like i would have liked, but all in all it was a fun day and i think lily loved all the attention.
i know she loved the cake.
more cake.
really loved the cake.
"why do you keep taking my picture? i just want to have my cake and eat it, too."
again, more cake.
she loved the edible candles. (should have taken a picture.)
yeah!! i am finally finished. what a face!!
you give her all these gifts and all she wants is a stick.
this is the outfit i made for her for her birthday.

almost walking.

lily has been such a fun addition to our family this past year. she started out fussy but once she started to move she has really enjoyed her life. she is very small for her age. her head has always been tiny. (i didn't even have to push. she just slid right out when she was delivered.) i took her in for her one year well check and she weighs just under 17 pounds. she is in the 2% for her weight but she has always been a very long child, she is in the 64% for height. she has given us alot to worry about this last year. she gets strange fevers about every 6 to 8 weeks with no other symptoms. they ran blood tests on her when she was about 10 months old and thank heavens they all came back normal. she loves her brother and her sisters so much. she has discovered; however, that when they are doing something to bug her, if she bites them, they leave her alone. she knows when she squaks at us she will get what she wants and hopefully someday soon she will start sleeping through the night. we love our little lil'-the-pill tons and look forward to watching her grow throughout the next year and forever.

...my only complaint... I can't blow up the picture of the darling outfit you mad Lily. I need a sewing machine. You realy inspire me. You should do a give-a-way on your blog. But, actualy rig it so I win? Maybe? Help me make a summer dress.
